Studies show that women who drink heavily are up to 24% more likely to get breast cancer. Breast cancer sucks, but I’m more worried about me. I mean, if women can’t drink, what chance do guys like me have of feeling up a pair of boobs? The study makes clear that drinking in moderation does not seem to increase the risk of breast cancer. But moderate drinking never lead a girl to make a terrible mistake she would regret later, at least not where I'm concerned. They compared red and white wines to see if there was a difference. Red wines are known to help with many ailments. However there was no silver lining to this story, apparently all kinds of alcohol are equally bad in this case.
Supporting Evidence
clamdobberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16705325807421973909noreply@blogger.com92tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1237200584493341469.post-77828066676732600182009-05-12T11:56:00.000-07:002009-05-12T12:01:19.451-07:00Mexico Passes Bill to Lighten Minor Drug Possession Laws.

On the same day he announced the Swine Flu “epidemic” Cauldron passed 60 some bills through their Congress. Among those was a bill to cut back on enforcement against minor drug possession while increasing enforcement against major drug violations. He attempted to pass the bill in 2006 as well, noting that enforcing minor possession did little if anything to deter people from having drugs, and overcrowded prisons and bogged down justice system. However he did not sign the law due to pressure from the Bush Administration. Cauldron has not yet signed the bill, the Obama Administration though has not put any pressure on him not to, and Cauldron is expected to sign it soon. Many people are under the false impression that it somehow deters would be criminals. It does not in any significant way at all. In fact we have seen that harsher laws only lead to more people in jail, never less crime. A criminal is going to commit a crime regardless of possible future punishment, especially if that crime doesn’t hurt anyone else, at least not in their own mind.

No, the purpose of prison is to separate people who cannot function in a society of laws from the general public. Now while in prison one may get better, or worse, (usually worse) but that has little to do with a prison, and everything to do with that person’s underlying will and desire to change themselves.

Since the concoction of this farcical war on drugs, the amount of drugs consumed by the general population has stayed pretty much the same relative to population, with minor dips here and there depending exclusively on the economy, and in utter defiance of whatever hair-brained schemes government has come up with to force abstinence. This should be enough to show that at the very least for drugs, prison simply does not work.

Alas, people in large part are incredibly stupid. There is new research though that shows our puritan policies may be even more damning than they first appear.

Most people have heard people claim, if they are not claiming it themselves, that jail time made them worse. But new research shows that it’s not only the influence of hardened criminals that creates this change in otherwise harmless minor drug offenders, but the stigma of having been jailed itself.
Supporting Evidence.

The fact is that the percent of the human population that takes drugs has not increased or decreased significantly since recorded history. To think that money, jail, and lame slogans can change the course of human history is sheer arrogance and a waist of time. So imprison those who are a danger to themselves and others, but if you want a person to stop taking drugs, they have to be dealt with as an individual, and with rehabilitation and education, not with a whip.
clamdobberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16705325807421973909noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1237200584493341469.post-18411633786308376852009-05-05T12:01:00.000-07:002009-05-05T12:05:34.067-07:00David Hasselhoff Hospitalized for Alcohol, Scores .39.

David Hasselhoff is known for his role in Knight Rider and Baywatch, and most recently as a judge on the TV show America’s Got Talent. For those who do not know, a .39 blood alcohol level is basically dead by most human standards, luckily the Knight Rider is hardly human. It would have been cool had his car Kit driven him to the hospital, but instead he was saved by his teenage daughter who found him unconscious on the floor. No word if his teenage daughter is going to get huge boob implants like the chicks on Baywatch, but I will keep you posted. In the meantime Hasselhoff is recovering in a Cedars-Sinai Hospital with his estranged ex-wife Pamela Bach. Reportedly she’s hanging around to make sure she gets alimony for this month. Hasselhoff has a reputation for getting shit-faced then trying to eat stuff on youtube, but he didn’t have any food this time, at least none that could be seen on a youtube clip.

Supporting Evidence
clamdobberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16705325807421973909noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1237200584493341469.post-43873889121581303872009-05-04T14:57:00.000-07:002009-05-04T15:19:37.460-07:00Award Winning Blog You Say? When given a placebo in the same environment, they didn’t care so much whether they went back or not. After getting the rats addicted to cocaine, they replaced that drug with another experimental drug called CDPPB, I have no idea what that drug is, I’m guessing it’s the memory wash drug? Anyway, whether it’s because of the CDPPB, or simply because they weren’t getting coke anymore, the rats stopped looking forward to going back to where they got the cocaine. Are you wondering if dinking will harm your baby? Can you abort via alcohol? Well I don’t know about the last one, but here’s the deal:

The rule of thumb in doctor offices the world over had been to tell women to abstain from alcohol completely. Some go so far as say a woman should not drink while trying to get pregnant (ignoring the counter-intuitive nature of that assumption and moving along.) Doctors now are revealing that they’ve been dirty, lying bastards the whole time. They knew a couple drinks once or twice a week was no big deal! In fact, recent studies have shown that the little bastards of mothers who drank in moderation behave better! So why you ask did the doctor say abstain? Well apparently they felt explaining that an occasional drink was okay was just too confusing, and something their umpteen years of schooling simply did not prepare them for. Nope, far easier to just say no and avoid any explanation whatsoever.

One doctor (at least) even says that, because of all of the stress and bodily changes in a woman as that tumorous wretch is growing inside of her, a couple drinks could be somewhat beneficial.

So pregnant women, have a glass of wine or a bottle of beer now and then, it won’t hurt that monstrosity you’re cooking up in your belly.

http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/
clamdobberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16705325807421973909noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1237200584493341469.post-59231799755877158362009-04-29T18:02:00.000-07:002009-04-29T18:11:03.560-07:00Swine Flu Illegal Immigrant’s Fault? Let’s all catch our breaths and take a short, and perhaps even painful for some, trip to reality.

1. Swine flu is not a brand new, never before seen super plague. We’ve dealt with this before, in 1976 it infected 500 people, and killed exactly 1… that’s right 1 citizen. The cold is a more prolific killer than swine flu.

2. The first cases in the U.S. are very well documented. They were brought to the U.S. by Catholic kids, U.S. citizens, who took a vacation to Mexico. There is not proof or suspicion that this is, was, or even ever could conceivably be any type of terrorist attack Michael Savage you ridiculous troll.

3. As with most things, Mexico is bearing the brunt of death and havoc from something brewed in our own back yard.

Specifically Virginia.

Virginia based Smithfield Farms was fined by the EPA to the tune of 12 million dollars in 1985 for dumping pig waste into the Pagan River in Smithfield Virginia and causing an ecological disaster. They were forced to create a sewage plant to deal with waste. Fast forward to NAFTA. A branch of Smithfield Farms moved their operations to Mexico, where they could avoid the EPA, and still freely trade their filth begotten goods to the largest market in the world, with little taxation.

And of course, instead of creating a sewage plant, they’ve simply been dumping the waste in a nearby pond, like a small children who don’t know to wipe their ass after they shit. Near that maggot and fly infested pond is a small Mexican city of 3000 people. This is where the first cases of swine flu came from.

And it’s been spreading from there. Thus far 134 Mexicans are dead, and 1 American. A U.S. Company moved there to exploit cheap labor, and to avoid the laws of our land. We allowed them, and Mexico pays the price.

Hopefully for the sake of human life, this hen does not come home to roost, and Mexico gets swine flu under control, and we again avoid any kind of cosmic justice. Lack of oversight you see not only ruins economies, it kills people.
For most of my readers I do not have to point out the parallels between swine flu, the war on drugs, and basically all things concerning Mexico. There is a pattern here.
www.narconews.com
clamdobberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16705325807421973909noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1237200584493341469.post-68486797812660474882009-04-28T11:33:00.000-07:002009-04-28T11:36:28.990-07:00209 Pot Plants Confiscated!

23 year old Mathew Alan Ward was transporting 209 pot plants… and smoking pot in his car. A thirty-one year old pregnant woman was the passenger in a vehicle pulled over by police for illegal window tint. The unborn child quickly took the opportunity to plant 73 bags of heroin around the mother’s waistband. She only wanted the best for her baby, and this is how she is repaid. But that’s not all. The fetus had also stored six more bags of heroin in the trunk, along with a loaded gun and stun gun. The driver, a twenty-seven year old male, did not escape the wrath of the unborn hellion. He was booked on weapons and drug offenses. But clean needle initiatives actually make perfect sense, once you get beyond the knee jerk reaction.

1. A supply of clean needles does not give anyone who was not going to take intravenous drugs, a sudden uncontrollable desire to try it out.
2. A person, who wants heroin, isn’t going to suddenly see the light and quit for want of a clean needle.
3. Needles cost something like ten cents each. Treating someone with HIV over the course of their lifetime costs over a quarter of a million dollars.

So it does actually make sense both financially, and even from a “war on drugs” view, just with a little thought. But there’s even more to it than that. Clean needle programs also get addicts to come on occasion to a place that is safe and full of doctors (I’m talking about where they get the needles here) and programs to help people like them get off the drug. This is something an addict will likely never see unless they OD. Here’s the other point. Many people, especially ones staunchly against things like clean needle programs, don’t realize that drug addicts are not some different species.

Should drug addicts be trusted? No.
But are they still people? Yes, they are, and many, not all, and probably not even a majority, but many can be helped.

Just as human beings, it’s kind of our responsibility to help another human being if we can? I mean it is, right?

Even if you don’t think so, drug addicts do not live in a bubble. A person, who gets HIV from a dirty needle, is just as likely to have sex with someone who does not take drugs as anyone else. That non-drug taker who had one night of poor judgment (unprotected sex) now has HIV. Now let’s say you have sex with that person, or your child does, or one of your friends.

A life sentence, all for want of a clean needle.

It seems to me that a human life is worth more than ten cents each…
clamdobberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16705325807421973909noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1237200584493341469.post-41703456352891791712009-04-22T12:38:00.000-07:002009-04-22T13:07:34.284-07:00“I Love My Methamphetamines, but I Hate the Cardiovascular and Neurological Side Effects!”

Are you tired of trying to decide between your health and speed? Within that, $410 million was put aside to fund Mexico’s out of control war on drugs. Last year around 8500 people were killed as a result of the drug war. The passage of the bill comes despite Mexico’s human rights violations, and our threats to cut funding if they did not show improvement. Republicans were quick to cry about the wastefulness of the bill, which is fair enough, however it should be noted that it’s a drastic reduction from the $550 billion promised by Bush, which the GOP was all for. Obvious and lame GOP partisanship aside, there’s been a pretty obvious pattern in that region of more money equaling more dead people. If that trend continues, maybe only 7500 people will die this year in the fabricated war. Never mind the enormous burden on an economy, these policies now around twenty-years old, have not shown to decrease the amount of drugs consumed, grown, or imported one iota. This in spite of regular reports showing that one specific drug or another is in the decline, and being touted as a sign of victory in the war on drugs, what these studies never show is that consistently the downturn of one type of illegal substance is replaced by the increased popularity of another. In reality, the war on drugs has not made a dent in the popularity of drugs. It does not take an enormous amount of logic, education, or even study, to simply look at Mexico currently, or at the U.S. during the 80’s, to figure out that stricter, and nonsensical policies not only do not keep people safe, but inevitably lead to greater violence.

To go off on a small tangent, and to clarify my point: simply look at Las Vegas when casinos were run by mobsters, compared to now, when they are run by corporations. Which was the safer environment? Look at the days of alcohol prohibition, compared to now, when did more people die from the now legal drug? More and more, as information is available to anyone with an internet connection, and as people are more willing and able to educate themselves on the actual facts, as opposed to basing their ideas about drug legalization on nothing more than a gut feeling, we see more and more people calling for legalization.

This is not only the opinion of pot heads with too much time on their hands. My opinions are based not on a desire to sell or take anything, only on common sense, and the research I’ve done blogging on this subject for going on a year now.

With more and more States of our Union taking the smart step forward, and legalizing marijuana for medical purposes, and rolling back sentencing for small amounts of marijuana, there is a predictable backlash from the more puritan segments of society.

(I was going to go with the flag, I think this is a better representation of Canada, maybe it’s just me)

Canada, who has been hailed as far more progressive in their stance on drugs than their southern neighbors, has proposed Bill C-15.

It’s eerily similar to the mandatory type sentencing for minor drug offenses made popular in the U.S. during the 80’s. Among some of the provisions: A minimum and mandatory sentence of six months in prison for a single marijuana plant. More if grown on someone else’s property, or “where it could harm kids,” – as if any plant but poison ivy or oak could ever harm a child, and as if they would know or care what to do with the plant even if they knew what it was.

Here are some recent stats on Canadian prisons provided by http://www.straight.com/:

> Total correctional-services expenditures in 2005-06: almost $3 billion

> Share spent on custodial services or prisons: 71 percent

> Associated policing and court costs in 2005-06: more than $10 billion

> Number of correctional facilities in Canada in 2005-06: 192

> Annual cost of incarcerating a federal female prisoner in 2004-05: $150,000 to $250,000

> Annual cost of incarcerating a federal male prisoner in 2004-05: $87,665

> Daily cost of incarcerating a provincial prisoner in 2004-05: $141.78

> Daily cost of alternatives such as probation, bail supervision, and community supervision: $5 to $25

And like in the U.S. these stats are bound to get gloomier if this bill is passed.
http://www.narconews.com/
clamdobberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16705325807421973909noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1237200584493341469.post-8159976398071250842009-04-17T14:28:00.001-07:002009-04-17T14:31:14.636-07:0070% of Male Addicts Say They Get Off On It. Only 37% of women admitted to the same. The choice of addicts, both men and women, for increasing sexual pleasure is cocaine. Speed and alcohol tie for second in the popularity contest. As far as losing inhibition, men report using cocaine and alcohol in the same proportion, while a whopping 72% of women say alcohol makes them the randy little minxes. The study took a poll of 120 people between the ages of 17 to 23, with an average age of 32… Yeah, I didn’t get that part either, may be it’s a typo. There were no specific details, but I’m guessing you vomit a lot, and severely. And literally the best way to cope with it was to take a shower. People with the syndrome would be in the shower constantly, which is awesome if you like to be clean… or wet. Well, some scientists in Australia have linked it to chronic marijuana use. They were unclear on the exact connection, but the symptoms seem to come on only after a few years of heavy use, and quickly go away once the patient stops using marijuana for a short time.

Is this proof marijuana should remain illegal? Of course not, because five years of heavy Oxycontin use would be far worse, and the symptoms much harder to cure, wouldn’t they? Nope, all things in moderation, that’s the lesson of the day. And the other lesson is that people who have been using marijuana for years are cleaner than the general public.

http://www.sciencedaily.com/

clamdobberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16705325807421973909noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1237200584493341469.post-3711465973234958472009-04-15T14:48:00.000-07:002009-04-15T14:52:51.039-07:00Risky Behavior Not Only Reason Drugees Get the AIDS. Of course neither of those are true, and what they mean is that one who is high or drunk is more likely to have sex without protection. That’s all they mean. It’s trickery, they’re blaming the alcohol for your Willy’s dirty deeds, completely unfair. (Banned from Today.com)

I know what you’re thinking, this can’t be true. But it is, and they funded a study to make sure it was true. The study found that the main factor was not the amount drank, but the drinking pattern. One who drinks regularly is more likely to be injured when they binge drink. Soon they will be conducting a study to find out if the reason is because the person is drunk… Anyway, women are seven times more likely to sustain injury after binge drinking compared to their sober counterpart, and men are six times more likely. No word why alcohol is sexist like that. Over eight thousand people admitted to the hospital for alcohol related injury were interviewed for this ground breaking study. The study also found that when one binge drinks they are more likely to vomit, get dizzy, and have a headache in the morning. I realize this scientific study is a lot to take in, just be happy that there’s a handful of doctors out there who spent four plus years in post-graduate studies, and that states and the national government have the foresight to fund such things.
http://alcoholism.about.com/
clamdobberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16705325807421973909noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1237200584493341469.post-9562086208616036032009-04-15T14:15:00.000-07:002009-04-15T14:42:38.462-07:00Hey! (careful, this post was banned on Today.com)
There is something so incredibly homosexual about the over-the-top heterosexuality frat fairies attempt to portray presumably to deflect from the fact they’re in a club with a bunch of guys who do a bunch of gay stuff, that it is always shocking to me when one gets arrested for anything other than antiquated sodomy laws, or barnyard hijinks. But three members of a banned fraternity in New York were charged with criminally negligent homicide, as they allowed one of their “brothers” to OD on alcohol. The initiate had a blood alcohol level of .55 when he was found dead. Another boy was charged with tampering with evidence. He was removing the dead kid’s frat shirt. And while he would doubtless like one to believe the shirt was being removed to hide involvement in the boys club, we all know what was really going on…

clamdobberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16705325807421973909noreply@blogger.com0
