This is a French poster warning people of the dangers on HIV.31% of all HIV cases are spread by sharing needles, and that’s something that people generally accept. But periodically studies come out that say how drugs and alcohol increase the likelihood of getting some STD, worded in such a way to make one think that somehow the AIDS are lying dormant in the Barley and Hops, or that you can catch the AIDS from sharing a joint. Of course neither of those are true, and what they mean is that one who is high or drunk is more likely to have sex without protection. That’s all they mean. It’s trickery, they’re blaming the alcohol for your Willy’s dirty deeds, completely unfair. But a new study shows that alcohol may actually make one more receptive to catching an STD while engaging in hanky panky. That is, one may not have caught the diseases had they been sober. That sucks. Also, being drunk allows disease to progress faster, and interferes with medication. On the other hand, who wants to go through all that sober?
